Pageant 55 Plus is for senior & mature British men and women above 55 years of age similar to Senior Pageants Group of USA for women aged 50 to 90 and The Ms Senior America pageant which was created in 1972 to challenge a culture that worshipped youth and dreaded wrinkles.
This pageant contest for the senior & mature men and women aims at improving the physical, emotional, psychological and social health. It also has an anti aging effect, apart from improving their health, wellbeing and fitness. We aim to empower senior & mature men and women and give them the platform to showcase their beauty, health, intelligence, skills, talent, wisdom, experience and personality and also to address their social isolation. And also to encourage positive achievement in women and to create fun & confidence-building experiences. Pageant 55 Plus winner Mr / Mrs Lancashire is not just a model but also a role model who inspires and motivates others and who leads by example.

Being a part of our organisation is about celebrating and empowering senior and mature men and women of age group 55 to 85 years we recognise that all these men and women are role models Several parameters such as social attitude and etiquette, attire, positive attitude, communication skills, leadership qualities, talent, co-contestant bonding,poise in formal wear ,answering of questions and understanding of pageant and evaluation process and many more play a very crucial part to be successful reigning Queen. And not just the external beauty, but also the inner beauty, integrity, dynamism, personality, accomplishments and achievements in the lives of older women are assessed in this beauty pageant contest.
Talent is not only one of the categories they are judged on. Various categories focus on the competitors’ ability to show their accomplishments and how the contestants portray themselves. There is no bathing suit competition, only an evening gown segment. During the pageants, candidates are also judged on integrity, their philosophy of life and community service.
The senior and mature contestants of Mr & Mrs Lancashire need to be fit physically with no major medical ailments to enrol themselves in this pageant contest.
This pageant contest for the elderly woman is composed of several workshops and modules which are based on the principles of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy and they include meaningful and stimulating activities, proven to help maintain memory and mental functioning.
The workshops and modules of Ms UK 60 Pluss super classic category leads to Cognitive stimulation with a set of techniques, strategies and materials to improve performance and effectiveness of cognitive capabilities and executive functions such as memory, attention, language, reasoning and planning, among others.
In these workshops Cognitive strategies are used which are one type of learning strategy that learners use in order to learn more successfully such as repetition, summarising meaning, guessing meaning from context, etc.These workshops improve their cognitive skills such as Multiple Simultaneous Attention and Working Memory and also have an anti-dementia effect.
